This is an unusual book in that it is about one man’s journey over a period of more than 30 years, finding out about the primary law that controls every person living in Australia.
The journey started in Indonesia around 1970, when the
author was exposed to the Indonesian Constitution. On his return to Australia in 1973 he obtained a copy of Australia’s Constitution, and thus took the second step on this long journey.
What the author discovered was that Australia doesn’t
actually own its Constitution. What Australia uses as their primary law is an Act of the British Parliament, which was proclaimed on the first of January 1901 and remains under British ownership right up to today.
This book is about the absurdities,
the deceit, the dishonesty and the ongoing cover up in hiding Australia’s true status as a nation from the people of Australia, and the rest of the world for that matter.
It is an interesting and intriguing journey, which will only reach its final
destination when Australia becomes a truly independent nation with their own, home grown and up to date, Constitution.
